Bone Metastases
The second most common location for metastases is within bones. Initial symptoms can include new lameness or swelling of a limb previously unaffected. X-rays or a nuclear bone scan are the common methods used to diagnosis suspected metastatic sites.
Treatment options are palliative and include bisphosphonates, palliative radiation and some forms of chemotherapy.
